MY GOAL.
Is to create something which is both timeless and classic. A tattoo that will stand the test of time and age beautifully with the wearer.
This is why I am drawn to Irezumi and Traditional Japanese tattoos. These tattoos were outstanding hundreds of years ago and will continue to look great in a modern setting . These tattoo images are regarded as classic for a reason.
I take what I do very seriously and work towards achieving the very best results that I can.
GETTING THE PROCESS STARTED.
Before any appointments are made there will be a consultation where we will thoroughly discuss your ideas and if we decide to work together on your project we will then book an appointment.
During the consultation I will take detailed notes, sometimes photos of the area to be tattooed or take tracings. This is your opportunity to inform me of your ideas and show me any reference images or independent research you have done as well as everything you hope to achieve with your tattoo.
It is important that our ideas are in sync and we’re essentially reading from the same page before we get started.

FAQs.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
I charge £100 an hour. I require a non refundable deposit is required on all projects. No drawings will be done until the deposit is paid.
3 hour or 6 hour slots available.
All tattoos are charged by the hour and not by the piece.
Your deposit comes off the balance of the final session of your tattoo.
HOW MUCH DOES A SLEEVE COST & HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ?
Many factors play into how much something will cost. A design with a lot of detail will naturally take longer than something more simple.
Area of the body also is a big factor. There is for example more surface area on a leg sleeve than an arm sleeve.
People skin type, pain threshold, health and age will all play a part on how long a tattoo takes. At the consultation stage I will try to give a rough estimate once I have met you and have a bit more information. But this is just an estimate.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING ?
I require at least 72hours notice if you need to reschedule your appointment.
If you do not get in touch or you’re a no show for whatever reason you forfeit your deposit. If you wish to re book your appointment a further deposit is required.
I HAVE REFERENCE IMAGES, CAN YOU USE THEM?
Reference images are great as they are a visual representation of what you’d like. But I only work in a custom way. I will not copy another artists work.
CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?
The simplest answer is no. Please come to your appointment alone. Long sessions of tattooing require great concentration from both you as the client and from myself. Having extra people around causes distraction for both parties.
DO YOU DO COVER UPS?
Yes I do cover ups. But it depends on several factors:
How light it is
Age of tattoo
What you’re looking to cover it with
Placement of the tattoo
We offer an in house laser removal service at Kings Ship. Working with Genevieve our laser specialist we can decide the best way to get the required results. Using the laser removal which we have on site means that we can be sure that only the neccassary parts are removed, saving time, pain and expense.
Laser is charged at £40 a session and is booked directly with Genevieve.
