The Studio.

Established in 2014, Kings Ship Tattoo is an independent tattoo studio in the heart of Southsea, Portsmouth. From the very beginning, our goal was to create a space that feels welcoming, comfortable and inspiring—a studio where both artists and clients can relax and enjoy the tattooing process.

Unlike the traditional image of a tattoo studio, Kings Ship is bright, open and filled with natural light. With high ceilings, plenty of space and carefully chosen artwork throughout, the studio has a calm atmosphere that allows you to feel at ease from the moment you arrive. Whether you're visiting for your first consultation or spending a full day working on a large-scale piece, we want you to feel comfortable throughout your time with us.

We've created an environment that reflects the way we approach tattooing: thoughtful, professional and focused on quality over quantity. There are no production lines or rushed appointments—just experienced artists, a relaxed setting and the time to create tattoos that will last a lifetime.

Located in Southsea, Portsmouth, Kings Ship Tattoo welcomes clients from across Hampshire and throughout the UK who are looking for high-quality custom tattooing.

Many of our clients travel from London, Brighton, reading, Manchester and across the UK and Wales to work with Aaron on large-scale Traditional Japanese tattoos. We believe that when you're committing to a tattoo you'll wear for life, the journey is worth it.
